Deimler & Sons Construction follows the following 8 Step Process
Step 1: Dreaming and Planning
At our first meeting we will:
- Listen to what you like and don't like about your home
- Listen to your goals needs and desires
- Talk about different possibilities
- Take preliminary measurements
- Discuss your desired budget/investment comfort zone
- Get the information we need to prepare a more detailed budget estimate for you
Step 2: Budget and Partner Plan
- Review the preliminary budget that was prepared for you.
- Review preliminary designs ( if applicable)
- If budget range and design are acceptable, we would then sign our Design/Build Partner agreement, which allows us to continue developing and creating design alternatives for you
Once the partner plan has been approved we will:
- Schedule time for our team to come to your home to do more detailed existing conditions and measurements
- Schedule a time and enhance designs
Step 3: Reviewing Your Designs
At our third Meeting, we will:
- Review the revised designs and alternatives we've created for you, and make corrections
- Review 3-D renderings of your project to help you visualize the finished project
- Review any impacts these changes might make on budget
- Schedule time to do selections of all the materials we'll be using for your project
(Depending on the size of your project, we may need several meetings to complete this part)
Step 4: Selecting Your Materials
This is the part where we visit suppliers, and you pick what you want. To help you through the process, we will:
- Prepare a shopping list for you of all the items that you need to be selected
- Guide you through the forms and styles available for each item
- Help you decide on appropriate colors
- Get color copies/samples of the items you've selected
- Keep track of all selections made so that as we go to each supplier, you can be assured that your theme is consistent and that we're creating the picture you want
Step 5: Post Design/Pre Construction
Before we start actual construction, we will:
- Apply for the building permit (most municipalities take 3-4 weeks to approve a permit application)
- Release all purchase orders to all vendors
- Prepare the construction packet for your project leader
- Assign your project leader
- Schedule the pre-construction job conference
Step 6: Pre-Construction Job Conference
At this meeting, we will:
- Introduce you to your project leader
- Review the project on-site with your project leader
- Ask a series of questions regarding general housekeeping issues to ensure your safety and security during construction
After the conference, we will:
- Prepare the actual construction schedule that we will use to complete your project in a timely manner
Step 7: Construction
During construction, we will:
- Update you on changes to the schedule
- Update you on work that is being performed
- Meet with you to address any concerns and questions that may arise during construction
- Update you on any changes that may require cost increases or credits due to changes in scope of work
- Utilize our dedicated checklist during each phase of construction to ensure that your project is completed with accuracy and to a high level of quality
Step 8: Post Construction
After construction work is completed, we will:
- Deliver your warranty and information packet
- Call you after 9 months to see how you are enjoying the work we performed for you and see if there is anything we need to adjust
- Our goal is to make this process an enjoyable experience for you. We want you to love the enhancements to your home - and share your experience with others who would benefit from our services.
